The name “Isabey” was inspired by reputed miniaturist French painter, Jean-Baptiste Isabey, XVIII – XIXth century. He mainly painted the First Empire, Josephine and Napoleon. Niche Perfume Isabey Paris was created in 1924 by Baron Henry James de Rothschild a philanthropist, doctor and playwright. The House of perfume became immediately known by the unique quality of its creations and the refinement of its luxurious presentations. In October 1924, the Exhibition Colonial in Strasbourg, France awarded with a medal the young Isabey company.
